AeroGen-TEK Donation Benefits Cancer Patients at Horizon Health

Employees at AeroGen-TEK, in Paris, are always looking for ways to support the community. One of their latest contributions will benefit chemotherapy patients at the Horizon Health Infusion Clinic.

On May 10, the company presented a $300 gift to the Horizon Health Foundation that will be used to purchase “care bags” to comfort cancer patients during chemotherapy treatments. Each bag will include a blanket, socks, puzzle books, and other items.

“This is amazing because it’s going directly to patients,” said Randi Bohannon, Foundation Executive Director.

AeroGen-TEK and its employees participate in a weekly 50/50 fundraising effort to support community needs, said Chris Cheesman, company planner.

“My dad is in chemo. I’ve seen how it affects family and hear about other patients,” he said.

Ideas for local support come from AeroGen-TEK employees and have benefited Shop With a Cop, Hopes and Dreams, Ms. Holly’s House, the Edgar County Animal Shelter, and wreaths for veterans, to name a few.

“Our employees like to know who we are giving to and ask when we are doing it again,” said Heidi Walls, AeroGen-TEK purchasing manager.
