
Horizon Health offers classes for the general public, as well as healthcare professionals.
(Horizon Health employees can register for courses through RELIAS or by contacting the Education Department at 217-466-4333.)
The 18-week course will take place Mondays and Wednesdays, from 5 to 9 pm, beginning September 25, 2023. The course fee is $850, which includes a student polo shirt for clinical hours, a drug screen, and a background check. After completing the course, students will qualify for the National Registry EMT Exam.

You must also have been previously been certified in PALS (this is a renewal course).

This free non-healthcare provider course teaches basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This course does not include first aid, which can be arranged separately. An official CPR certification card from the American Heart Association is optional for $25. Classes are held at the Education Center.
Who should take this course?
Anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion
card to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
