Horizon Health Maintains Gold Standard for Quality and Safety

For nearly 30 years, Horizon Health has demonstrated its commitment to patient safety and quality by meeting—and often exceeding—national standards of care. That commitment has been recognized with The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval since 1998.

Awarded through a voluntary accreditation process, the Gold Seal signifies that Horizon Health has successfully completed comprehensive, on-site evaluations demonstrating compliance with rigorous national standards for patient safety, quality of care, medication management, infection prevention and control, and organizational performance.

The Joint Commission conducts unannounced, on-site surveys every three years. Horizon Health's 2026 survey reaffirmed accreditation for:

• Paris Community Hospital – A 25-bed critical access hospital providing emergency, surgical, rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, and inpatient and outpatient services.
• Horizon Health Home Care – A licensed home health agency serving seven Illinois counties with skilled nursing and rehabilitation therapies.
• Horizon Health Medical Equipment – Providing durable medical equipment to support recovery, mobility, and independent living at home.
