Dr. Helfer is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist with more than 20 years of experience.
She provides a full range of services for adolescents and adults, from wellness exams to complex, minimally invasive surgical procedures. Her services include preventative health care, contraception management, menopause and hormonal management, hysteroscopy and D&C, laparoscopic tubal ligation, minimally invasive hysterectomy, pelvic floor reconstructive surgery and prolapse preventative services.
Prior to joining Horizon Health in 2026, Dr. Helfer provided comprehensive women's health services at a clinic in Champaign. In her free time, she enjoys mountain climbing, world traveling, playing tennis, playing boardgames, reading, interior decorating, designing jewelry and furniture, and spending time with family.
