For the first time, Horizon Health will be offering two events in observance of American Heart Month. In addition to the annual “Wear Red Luncheon,” an evening program will be offered. Both events will be held on Friday, February 7, at the Tingley Reception Center, 504 East Edgar Street, Paris.

The lunch event will begin at noon and offer a catered meal, with the program provided by national speaker Mellanie Hills. Mellanie will present “Hear Your Heart: Put You First.”

The evening event will begin at 5:30 pm and feature wine, cheese, and chocolate. For this event, Mellanie will offer a second program titled “How to Treat Yourself Well.”

Mellanie is a heart disease survivor, heart health expert, and award-winning author. She is founder and CEO of the American Foundation for Women’s Health and StopAfib.org, the world’s foremost atrial fibrillation patient advocacy organization.

All community women are invited to bring their sisters, daughters, coworkers, and friends to the event. Attendees are encouraged to wear red and join Horizon Health as it supports the fight against heart disease.

Cost for either event is $20 per person, and includes Mellanie’s book, “A Women’s Guide to Saving Her Own Life.”
