Horizon Health will offer a free Heartsaver CPR/AED course on Tuesday, June 4, from 1 to 3 pm, at its Education Center, 15197 US Highway 150, in Paris.

This non-healthcare provider course is for the community only and teaches basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), which is used in cases of life-threatening cardiac events. An official CPR/AED certification card from the American Heart Association is optional for $25.

This course does not include first aid, which can be arranged separately.

To register for the class, visit MyHorizonHealth.org/Classes. Note that a credit or debit card is required when registering. The card will be charged a $25 fee to reserve a seat in the class. It will be refunded upon completion of the course, unless the participant chooses to purchase an optional American Heart Association certification card.
