Horizon Health Education Series Starts with Managing Diabetes

Horizon Health kicks off its new Healthy Living Series with a free community education event focused on helping people manage diabetes and prediabetes.

“Thriving With Diabetes” will take place Thursday, November 13, from 5-7 pm, at Lake Ridge Christian Church in Paris. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been managing diabetes for years, this event will offer valuable tools to help you live a healthier life.

Informational tables will showcase the many resources and support services Horizon Health provides for diabetes management. Experts will be available from Horizon Health Endocrinology, Diabetes Education, Nutritional Counseling, Chronic Care Management, and Pharmacy.

Event highlights will include:

• Discussions on managing blood sugar levels
• Tips on nutrition, lifestyle modifications & medication management
• Chair yoga at 5 pm and again at 6:15 pm
• Blood pressure checks
• Free foot exams
• Educational materials
• Giveaways & snacks
