Horizon Health has expanded its urogynecology services with the addition of a full-time healthcare provider.
Nurse Practitioner Lori Turner has joined the practice of Dr. Arturo Menchaca, who specializes in the treatment of female pelvic floor disorders, including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and chronic pelvic pain.
Lori has more than 40 years of nursing experience across a wide range of patient care settings, including women’s health, occupational medicine, pulmonary medicine, physical rehabilitation, and community health. Her experience as an advanced practice nurse includes pre-surgical clearance and convenient care.
“Women’s health has always been my first passion, which I’ve done for more than 20 years,” she said.
She noted that access to urogynecology and gynecology services remains limited, particularly in rural communities.
“There are not enough providers for the female population,” she said. “We are definitely in an area where access to women’s health services is needed.”
Lori previously worked as a full-time provider at the Horizon Health EZ Care walk-in clinic and continues to serve on an as-needed basis. She holds a master’s degree in nursing from Indiana State University and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Lakeview College of Nursing in Danville, Illinois.
Born and raised in Kansas, Illinois, Lori currently resides in Oakland, Illinois. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and traveling with family and friends.
The Horizon Health urogynecology team offers minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical treatments for pelvic floor conditions, delivering personalized care plans to support each patient’s recovery.
