Horizon Health Expands Senior Care Services

Horizon Health is strengthening behavioral health services within its Senior Care program with the addition of Margo Poore, Licensed Social Worker, and the advancement of Casey Simpson to Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). 

These developments highlight the program's continued commitment to expanding access to behavioral health support and investing in highly qualified professionals who serve older adults and their families. 

“We are excited to welcome Margo to our Senior Care team and celebrate Casey’s achievement of earning her LCSW,” said Senior Care Manager Terra Ogle, LCSW. “Both accomplishments strengthen our ability to provide comprehensive behavioral health care to the older adults we serve.”

Poore is an experienced case manager who evaluates and supports patients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs. She provides targeted interventions for age-related challenges, including grief, cognitive changes, and chronic health conditions. Poore also facilitates Horizon Health’s Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Support Group.

“The older population is often neglected and that can create a lot of isolation issues,” she said. “That’s why it is important to have a program like Senior Care.”

Simpson, who joined Senior Care in 2024, recently earned her LCSW credential, marking an important milestone in her professional development. Her advanced credential allows her to diagnose mental health conditions and provide psychotherapy, furthering her ability to provide quality behavioral health services to Senior Care patients.

“While earning my LCSW is an exciting milestone in my professional career, it really means that I will be able to use this advanced training to better serve our patients,” Simpson said.

Senior Care is an outpatient behavioral health program that provides individual and group therapy for seniors facing life’s many challenges. The program is available to patients age 65 and older with Medicare Part B, as well as patients who receive Medicare due to a disability.
