Horizon Health Hosts Free Adult Wellness Fair


Horizon Health will host “Health 360,” a free adult wellness fair, on Saturday, April 27, from 9 am to noon in the Paris Clinic.

The event will feature health screenings, seminars by healthcare professionals, live “Stay Strong, Live Long” exercise programs, and vendor displays.

Modeled after the very successful Back to School Bang event, Health 360 will be similar to a health fair, with tables featuring different departments and organizations set up throughout the Paris Clinic. Tables will offer educational materials, a give-a-way, and a chance to ask questions and interact with health professionals.

Services offered during the event will include the following:

  • Shot clinic offering Hepatitis A and pneumonia vaccines (normal insurance co-pay applies or $80 cash pay)
  • Free blood sugar checks
  • Free bone density heel scans
  • Assistance with online patient portal sign ups

Additionally, healthcare professionals will speak on a variety of topics:

  • 9:15 am- “Dementia”- Ann Bogue, family nurse practitioner
  • 10:15 am- “Understanding a Colonoscopy”- Dr. Cozacov, general surgeon
  • 11:15 am- “The Importance of Mammograms”- Dr. Horvat, OB/GYN

Live “Stay Strong, Live Long” exercise classes will begin at 9 am and will be held each hour. These interactive exercise classes are free and will last about 15 minutes.

Additional information and services during the event will include: diabetes education, advanced directives planning, information about healthy aging, and CPR education.

Participating organizations will include the Edgar County Health Department, Bee Well of Edgar County, Rides Mass Transit, Senior Care, and more.
