Susan Arp, family nurse practitioner, will transition from the Paris Family Medical Center effective October 1 to assume a new role within the organization.
Arp will continue to provide follow-up care for her clinic patients through the end of September. Though she no longer will have a clinic practice, Arp will continue to serve the community’s healthcare needs by working as a provider in PCH/FMC’s EZ Care walk-in clinic.
“I truly appreciate my patients for trusting me to be their provider,” Arp said. “I will miss them and the relationships we have created. This new opportunity will allow me to work more flexible hours and apply my skills and knowledge in a different arena, while still serving patients in Edgar County and the surrounding communities.”
Letters have been mailed to Arp’s current patients notifying them of her transition to EZ Care. Patients who need to establish a new healthcare provider should call the Family Medical Center at 217-465-8411. Patients of Susan Arp will not automatically be assigned a new provider.
Arp celebrated 20 years with PCH/FMC this year. She was the provider at the Kansas Family Medical Center for 19 years until its closure in 2015. She has worked with the medical team of Refuge International for the past 10 years, with several trips to Guatemala, including a recent trip in August.
