About the provider
Dr. Horvat is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist with 30 years of experience. She joined Horizon Health in February 2019. She operated a successful private practice in Charleston, Ill., for 18 and-a-half years. She also provided full-range OB/GYN services at two hospitals in Chicago’s northern suburbs for five years.
Dr. Horvat was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. Her agricultural roots stem from her parents who were horticulturists and farmers. In 2012, she participated in a medical mission trip to Guatemala where she performed numerous surgeries for impoverished women.
Dr. Horvat has four children, all of whom were raised in the Coles/Champaign County area. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching live theater, traveling, gardening, hiking, and fishing. She also has a love for horses.

Dr. Horvat offers a full scope of women’s services from wellness exams to complex surgical procedures for patients of all ages. Her services include contraception management, D & C of the uterus, laparoscopic tubal ligation, minimally invasive hysterectomy, and fertility testing. Other services include pre-conceptual counseling and premenstrual dysphoric disorder, as well as addressing abnormal pap smears.
