Healthy Kidneys Start Here: Horizon Health to Host Free Lunch & Learn June 26

Good food and expert health advice are on the menu at Horizon Health’s Kidney Health Lunch & Learn on Friday, June 26, at noon at the Horizon Health Education Center, 15197 US Highway 150, Paris.

This free community event will help attendees better understand the warning signs of early kidney disease, learn prevention strategies, and discover how kidney health connects to heart health and overall wellness.

Members of the Horizon Health dialysis and cardiology teams, along with dietitians and diabetes education specialists, will share practical ways for protecting kidney function through nutrition, lifestyle habits, and early detection. Representatives from the dialysis team will serve as keynote speakers.

Nephrologist Raj Jeevan, MD, of Midwest Kidney and Hypertension Specialists, will lead a special question-and-answer session.

The event will feature a complimentary lunch, giveaways, a free raffle drawing, and kidney-friendly recipe cards with healthy meal ideas. Lunch will include herb-roasted chicken breasts, pasta salad, crunchy couscous salad, and strawberry pie.
